As a typical grandparent you probably dote on your grandchildren by giving them gifts of all kinds, toys, trusts, money for their education, trips to theme parks, vacations and hours of time taking care of them. The one gift that they will need more then any other is the gift of the Earth. By 2040 according to the best scientific estimates the Arctic Ocean will be ice-free, only one indicator of global warming and its associated causes and problems. We are consuming the Earth's resources at such a rapid and unsustainable rate our grandchildren will be left with a mere shell of a planet and lifestyle as we know it today. The best thing we can give them is this beautiful, bountiful Earth we now enjoy. There is a way that you as an individual can give this gift to your grandchildren and it won’t cost you any money. It will, however, require you to change your behavior. Clicking on Choosing your gift will give you a list of things you as an individual can to do to give your grandchildren the gift of Earth. By pledging to adopt one or more of these suggested behaviors or others of your choice not listed, you will be giving your grandchildren the gift of Earth. When you have selected your gift or gifts we will send you a gift certificate and pin that you can give to your grandchild or children describing your gift and the effect it will have on preserving the Earth for them. They can wear the pin to proudly display their grand parent’s gift.
